We had every different type of weather you can think of. The sun and rain provided just enough to quickly grow the moss within the week. We like to use organic treatment made from citrus acid (oranges), it does take longer to kill but just knowing that it won't cause damage on pets and plants if accidentally lightly sprayed on makes it worth using.

Many gutters have some extra things growing in it, not just moss and algae but actual plants, new growth from seeds and enough soil from decomposing leaves, etc. When you ask a company to clean your gutters make sure this includes cleaning your downspouts, by flushing it with water. Some companies won't do this without charging you extra. Our gutter cleaning price includes checking your downspouts.
